Welcome Back & A Little Haul

Image
Hi everyone! Long time, no speak. The last time I posted on this page was as a freshman in college in 2017. Now, I'm about to enter my final semester! Time truly does fly. The world we live in now is very different from the one we lived in when I last posted. With interactions limited and all social events essentially cancelled until (at least) 2021, I have found myself falling back in love with reading. After entering quarantine in mid-March, I found that reading was the only thing keeping me  somewhat  sane. Between March and August, I read over 30 books. Some of my favorites included  American Dirt  by Jeanine Cummins and  My Dark Vanessa  by Kate Elizabeth Russel.  Once I started the fall semester again, I figured I would put reading to the side again and focus on my studies. However, with my schooling all online, I still found myself having a lot of down time. I filled this time with even more novels, taking my thoughts away on different adventures. As I devour novel after n

Flower by Elizabeth Craft Published by Harlequin Teen on January 3, 2017 Pages : 384 Format: Hardcover Source: Bought Buy This Book • Goodreads Synopsis:   These are the things that I've always wanted:  To get the top grades in my class.  To make my grandmother proud.  And most of all, proof that I could succeed where the rest of my family had not: a Stanford acceptance letter, early admission.  My mother and my sister were obsessed with boys and love and sex. So obsessed that they lost sight of their futures, of what  they  wanted. And in the end, they lost everything.  I'll never let a boy distract me. I promised my grandmother that.  But that was before Tate.  Before the biggest pop star on the planet took an interest in  me .  Before private planes and secret dates and lyrics meant for me alone.  There's so much I don't know. Like why he left music. Where he goes when we're not together. What dark past he's hiding. But when we kiss, the futur

I have come to realize that I miss book blogging! This is something I used to love doing, and I really need to get back to doing things that I love. To kick it off, I went on a trip to Barnes and Noble to pick up some books to get me back into the swing of things. But that is not what Gigi Boudakian, childhood friend and Keir’s lifelong love, says at all. Hi everyone! Sorry again for the long time, no talk....I'm done coming up with excuses though! I'm really going to try to stay more committed to this again because I have recently realized how much I missed reading. Yesterday I took a trip to the bookstore and bought three books; one of which I have already read, and the review will be up very shortly. Here are the books!   Only three for me this week due to the fact that I am starting up once again. Thank you so much for your patience with me everyone, it's good to be back.

New Year, New Commitment (STS)

Hi everyone! I know it has been SO LONG since the last time I've posted but that is simply because life has gotten in the way. As a teenager, I'm going through classes at high school as well as getting things such as my license. But with a new year, comes a new commitment. I miss reading and blogging about all the great books out there. Instead of the typical stacking the shelves post, I would really appreciate it if you all could comment below some new awesome reads for me! I've been so out of the loop for so long, I'm not even completely sure what is out there. Thank you all for sticking around and I promise I'll get back to my usual routine.      I do have a few little Nook book finds to share with you all though. This week I downloaded four new books to my nook (all free) because I really need to get back into reading!
