Tia and Will’s lives get flipped upside down when they’re voted Yearbook’s Biggest Flirts in this sassy novel from the author of Endless Summer and The One That I Want.

Tia just wants to have fun. She’s worked hard to earn her reputation as the life of the party, and she’s ready for a carefree senior year of hanging out with friends and hooking up with cute boys. And her first order of business? New guy Will. She can’t get enough of his Midwestern accent and laidback swagger.

MY THOUGHTS:

I don't think I had ever read a Jennifer Echols book before this one, but what a way to start it off. After reading the synopsis for this story, I was worried that it would be another one of those stories where the girl plays hard to get but somehow still ends up falling for the boy. Man was I wrong. Right from the first chapter, I was in love with Will and Tia.

Tia is the typical party girl of high school. She's afraid of success and tries hard not to be noticed for spectacular things, even though she is majorly talented. Will is the new boy in town, the shiny new toy everybody wants. When Will comes to find Tia at the party instead of any other girl sneaking glances at him, they hit it off immediately. Tia even ditched the boy she usually hooked up with just to spend more time with Will. After drinking a few, Tia convinced Will to come home with her. I'll keep you guessing on what exactly happened that night but after it was all over, it didn't end in the best way. Apparently, Will was not aware of the fact that Tia did not date, she simply hooked up with people. Eventually, Will left heartbroken and Tia felt...weird. She felt something she hadn't exactly felt before, but she ignored it and fell asleep.

The next morning, she woke up and found herself late to her first day of band practice. Grabbing her drum, she jumped the fence and ran to the school. After lining up with the other drum players in their school band, she realized the person standing next to her was...Will. Will was an amazing musician on top of all of the things Tia had already loved about him. BUT she did not want a boyfriend. So, Will asked out one of Tia's most hated enemies and Tia was immediately jealous. Personally, there were some points in the book where I loved her as a main character, but other times I absolutely hated her. She's really a love/hate type of character.

Pick up Jennifer Echols' newest novel to be drawn into the hot and cold friends-with-benefits-ship of Will and Tia. The two of them will not leave you disappointed. From steamy scenes to heart melting affection, Echols has me anxiously waiting for book two in this series to come along.
